The CG walks around the circle and chooses someone to be the Mafia by tapping twice on their head the rest of the people become detectives. The CG then tells everyone to wake up and open their eyes.
If a certain person is winked at, they must die dramatically. If someone does guess who the Mafia is, they then become the CG. This is one of those games for kids that usually lasts a few minutes and the kids normally want to play it several times. Have every person that arrives at the party outline their shoes on a piece of paper. Ring out a tray full of items or put these items on a table. Cover them with a small blanket use items that a spy might use: camera, watch, passport, headphones, tape recorder, etc.
Lift the blanket for 30 seconds allowing the kids to view it. When the time is up, cover it and give each kid a paper and pencil. Give the kids 2 minutes to write everything that they remember from the tray and whoever remembers the most is the winner. Take a regular big cardboard box and make 2 holes in the side big enough to fit both hands. Put all kinds of things in the box for example cooked spaghetti, Jell-O cubes and pudding, a duster, etc. After putting different kinds of interesting things, close off the box and let the kids put their hands in.
They then need to write on a piece of paper their guesses to what the mystery objects are in the box. The winner is the one who guesses correctly the most items inside the box. You can also just do this by blindfolding each kid and giving him or her something else to touch. They each then have to guess what it is by sense of touch keep wipes close by. This is one of the coolest games for kids! This is a fun game to play inside or out.
You can take either the favor bags or any other kind of prizes, tie a long piece of black, white, or gray yarn to each one. String the pieces of yarn across the room, going over, under, and around anything that is in the party area tables, chairs, furniture, etc.
Leave the ends of the yarn available for each party kid. It can get a bit crazy if their are a lot of kids, but this game is a lot of fun! Getting your kids outside can sometimes be a bit of a struggle. Most of these games require little preparation and few supplies while a few require some planning ahead. All will be a hit with your family! Take a Nature walk around your neighborhood or local park. Quiz your child by having them guess what you are spying.
Create a list by either writing or drawing creatures or items found in nature. You can also search for Nature Scavenger Hunts on Pinterest for ready made lists.
Give each participant a bucket, a copy of the list and a marker. Next, start hunting! Show off what you found with other participants and talk about each item. Designate a leader and followers. Then have the leader lead their followers on a nature walk over, around and under obstacles such as trees, shrubs and rocks. Periodically switch out the leader and go on different routes around a nearby trail, park or your backyard.
Find a spot to sit and relax. Have everyone close their eyes and silently listen to the world around them. Have everyone open their eyes and go around in a circle, sharing what they heard.
Talk about each sound and what you think it might be. Each player removes one brick from the tower and replaces it back atop the structure. Whoever misplaces that last brick and brings down the tower loses.
At most party scenes, the slow-motion display of the tower collapsing is as much fun as the game itself. Once upon a time, in a happier world, there was a wonderful outdoor game called Jarts. In a sort of aerial horseshoes, players lobbed weighted metal darts underhand at a plastic hoop some distance away on the ground. Hilarity ensued. One unfortunate kid took a Jart to the dome, and the game vanished from shelves forever in an amazing feat of liability litigation.
Flarts brings a bit of that history back without the potentially lethal metal points. As for the name, I think we know where they were going with that.
Does it get any better than Twister? This kooky, back-breaking game is fun for toddlers, kids, teens, adults and even grandparents. If you need a refresh, the game works like this: twist the spinner on the twister board. Another classic, Limbo is a hilarious summer game perfect for family parties and fun times with friends. It tests your limits as you try to bend backward lower and lower without falling.
How low can you go? There was a board game created in the mids called Connect Four. This is not that game because to claim it was might irritate the people at Hasbro.
